Summer Fun = Towing Time

Summer travels are almost here! Is your vehicle as ready as you are? If you tow a boat, camper, or ATV, your vehicle works harder and needs to be up to the task. A thorough inspection of your vehicle will give you peace of mind, keep you from getting stranded, and help make your summer road trips safer. The last thing you want is to have your plans ruined due to a vehicle problem.
  • Check filters and fluids including engine oil, coolant, washer fluid, power steering, brake and transmission fluids.
  • Check the hoses and belts; replace if they are showing sign of wear.  Make sure the battery connection is clean, tight and corrosion-free.
  • Check brakes and tires, including tire pressure and tread. Tires should also be checked for bulges and bald spots.
  • Check the engine to make sure it is free from leaks and that all components are running at top performance.
  • Check that the gas cap is not damaged or loose.
  • Check all lights to make sure they are working properly.
